    The Nitehog Viper is a high-quality heating device manufactured in the European Union.

    It has a large 35mm 1.2 aperture lens.

    The Viper has adjustable focus, which gives it an edge over other devices.

    Compared to other 35mm devices, the Viper is compact and much lighter.

    Viper also has the longest warranty on the market for all heating devices.

    Physical characteristics
    The dimensions of the device are 13 centimeters long, about 6 centimeters wide and 4.5 centimeters high. Nitehog Viper is a compact device, it weighs only 250 grams. Its casing is made of magnesium.

    The Viper heat clip has three function buttons on the top to access the menu. You can choose the color palette, brightness and contrast from the main menu. Weather, scene type and sharpness filter can be adjusted to improve image quality.

    The Nitehog Viper has a sleep mode, but has no video recording capabilities and cannot take photos or connect to other external devices.

    The Viper has two strap attachment points so you can use it as a monocular for observation. You can also remove the rubber from the eyepiece to attach the Viper to a scope. After installing the shrink ring, you can use a standard 52x0.75mm thread adapter.

    Thermal sensor and display features
    The Viper has a traditional 320 x 240 resolution sensor with a 12 micron pixel pitch and a 50 Hz refresh rate.

    The resolution of the OLED screen on the back of the device is 1024x768 pixels.

    There are two viewing modes:

    full screen mode for using the device as a monocular

    A smaller central display space that uses only a fraction of all available pixels for fixation

    Optical performance
    With the Viper you get 1x magnification because it can be used as a mounting device. With digital zoom, you can get up to 4x magnification, although the image quality starts to deteriorate. The field of view is about 190 meters at 1,000 meters and the detection range is about 1,400 meters.
